Tangier Med Marine Simulator

Aware of the importance of continuous training for the development of the skills of its pilots as provided for in resolution A-960, the Tangier Med Port Authority has a cutting-edge technology maneuver simulator.   This simulator is also at the service of all the pilots of port authorities, consulting firms and consultants wishing to undertake engineering trainings and studies.   The TMMS “Tangier Med Marine Simulator” was provided by TRANSAS, a world leader in marine navigation and simulation system technologies. It is a three-dimensional simulation and nautical expertise center; state-of-the-art training and decision support using the very latest technology, namely reproduction of a similar situation at sea at a time scale of 1/1, in an interactive virtual environment integrating modeling digital zones and ships.   In addition to training and engineering, the TMMS can be used to study critical situations and for investigations in case of maritime incidents and other sea events.
